A World Never Seen Before

I want to dedicate this song to all of you out there who see things through a different lens and teach me (patiently) to see the picture you see. You also teach me to love you by allowing me, in turn, to show you what I see. The expression (and acceptance) of who we are makes us feel alive. It sets us free to love life.

From the Broadway musical Jekyll and Hyde:

Someone like you
(go here to listen)

I peer through windows,
Watch life go by,
Dream of tomorrow,
And wonder "why"?

The past is holding me,
Keeping life at bay,
I wander lost in yesterday,
Wanting to fly -
But scared to try.

But if someone like you
Found someone like me,
Then suddenly
Nothing would ever be the same!

My heart would take wing,
And I'd feel so alive -
If someone like you
Found me!

So many secrets
I've longed to share!
All I have needed
Is someone there,

To help me see a world
I've never seen before -
A love to open every door,
To set me free,
So I can soar!

If someone like you
Found someone like me,
Then suddenly
Nothing would ever be the same!

There'd be a new way to live,
A new life to love,
If someone like you
Found me!

Oh, if someone like you
Found someone like me,
Then suddenly
Nothing would ever be the same!

My heart would take wing,
And I'd feel so alive -
If someone like you
Loved me...
Loved me...
Loved me!...

  1. Linda,

You are a gift to whoever knows you.
A gift of joy and light for our sad and shadowy places.
A crowded room becomes more spacious when you enter it.
Your heart fills us with its overflow. Splash!

  2. Awww... Thank you Richard! Was it too touchy feely, you think? :-)

  3. Linda,
You point out that our differences can mutually teach us things we'd otherwise not learn. Then you ask if your gesture of thanks was too touchy feely, as if there is a universal standard for that. I'd venture to say it was too touchy feely only for those for whom it was too touchy feely. On the other hand, there might be some for whom it was not touchy feely enough. For me it was juuuust riiiight. So here's were we can all learn from the differences in our touchy feely thresholds.

Please keep showing us your world.
